Methodology & Agri-PV Standards
What is the Land Equivalent Ratio (LER)?
The Land Equivalent Ratio (LER) measures land productivity. An LER of 1.6 indicates that 1 hectare of dual-use Agri-PV yields the equivalent combined output of 1.6 hectares of separately farmed and ground-mounted solar land.
What does DIN SPEC 91434 mandate?
Category I requires a minimum vertical clearance of 2.10 m, max. 15% land loss, and at least 66% agricultural yield retention to preserve full EU direct farm subsidies and EEG special tariff eligibility.
