Switch Energy Provider.
No risk. No supply gap.

Switching providers is legally regulated and typically takes 3-6 weeks. No power cut, no risk. Here's what you need to know.

Legally regulated. Supply guaranteed.

Why many avoid switching, even though it's simple

Fear of supply gaps: Legally impossible. The default provider steps in if needed.

Uncertainty about notice periods: Price increases trigger a special cancellation right.

Perceived effort: The new provider handles cancellation with the old one.

Doubt whether switching is worthwhile: That's why we recommend the bill check first.

What you need to know about switching providers

Switching electricity or gas providers has been a standard process since energy market liberalisation. The Basic Supply Ordinance (GVV) secures supply at every stage. The new provider typically handles all formalities. Your only task: sign the contract and read your meter.
Under § 20 EnWG, all consumers have the right to freely choose their energy supplier. Price increases trigger a special cancellation right under § 41(3) EnWG.
